- Can I inspect the factory before I make a decision to place the order with you?
- How do I know that the products shipped to me are acceptable?
- What about QC/Inspection Manuals, should these be provided by us or by you?
- Can I use our own inspection team to inspect the goods?
- I see you manufacture plastic injection molds for overseas customers. How can we be sure the tooling is up to our standard before it gets shipped to us?
- (Can I inspect the factory before I make a decision to place the order with you?) --- Certainly. We will arrange our staff to go with you for the visit. Our staff will take care of things like booking of hotels, transportation, interpretation etc. Customer shall pay for their own expenses, and AETIKS will be responsible for that for our own staff. If time allows, we can also arrange for a bit of sight-seeing. Some of our clients with extensive manufacturing experience simply send us a form to fill in for info like make and model of manufacturing and inspection equipment used, inspector/worker ratio, industry standards used etc, with which they would have a fair idea of the scale and grade of factory involved. - (How do I know that the products shipped to me are acceptable?) --- Prior to the start of production, production samples will be dispatched to customer for approval. Once approved, the same batch of material, same machine settings, same assembly process etc shall be used. There are also In-process and Outgoing Quality Control (IPQC and OQC) procedures to assure acceptable quality levels are maintained. When production is completed, we would draw some random samples, according to sampling plan as agreed beforehand, and send to customer for shipment approval. (back to Top)
- (What about QC/Inspection Manuals, should these be provided by us or by you?) --- Can be either way. If you already have an inspection manual and want the factory to stick to it, we can study it and advise our opinion. We'd probably have to translate it as most workers and inspectors in China are not very knowledgeable with the English language. Yes we need to place a charge for the translation. If you do not have one already, we can offer a quote to write one up for approval, which is generally bilingual, i.e., in both English and Chinese languages. (back to Top)
- (Can I use our own inspection team to inspect the goods?) --- Sure. You can either fly in your team, or hire an independent quality surveyor to do the inspection prior to shipment. Most internationally renowned quality surveyors have their respective offices in major cities in China. It's worth mentioning though that their charges are quite substantial. (back to Top)
- (I see you manufacture plastic injection molds for overseas customers. How can we be sure the tooling is up to our standard before it gets shipped to us?) --- Firstly, the tooling design- you can send us the design drawings and we just quote for making the tool. We can also design the tool for you for a reasonable price for approval. Secondly, the tool material- you can specify the material code and we can supply a certificate to verify that such material is indeed used. If you do not specify, we would propose one or two for approval. Thirdly, the overall quality- we would mount the tools on proper injection molding machine and run some test shots to send to you for approval, with which you should be able to tell things like dimensional accuracy, workmanship, surface finish etc. Photographs of each component in the tool would also be supplied for reference.
